81Arline Ellen Rood, 82, of Hilo, a homemaker, died in Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. She was born in Fresno, Calif. She is survived by daughters Denise Miyasato, Celeste Maki and Melanie Idao; sister LaVerne Tompkins; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 2 p.m. Sunday at Waiakea Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2629 Kilauea Ave., Hilo. Services: 3 p.m.
