80» Charles Minoru Ando, 84, of Waipahu, a retired heavy equipment mechanic at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and an Army veteran who served in the Korean and Vietnam wars, died in Avalon Care Home. He was born in Papaikou, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Sumiko; son Roy; daughter Rita; brothers James, Kenneth and George; sisters Florence Umstead, Jane Namimoto and Aiko Tanaka; and a grandchild.
