78Arthur "Ace" Akau Sr., 62, of Kamuela, Hawaii, a Parker Ranch trucking foreman and Oye Construction groundskeeper, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honokaa, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Arthur Jr., Jason and Theodore Akau, Cody Oshiro and Brian Carvalho; daughter Krista; brothers Arnold Sr. and Arden; sister Theodora Gaspar; 23 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Friday at Imiola Congregational Church, Kamuela. Services: 11 a.m. Scattering of ashes: 9 a.m. Feb. 15 at Mahukona. Aloha attire. No flowers.
