James S. Vegas, 91, of Mililani, a retiree of Hawaiian Pineapple Co. and Castle & Cooke, and an Army veteran, died in Ewa Beach. He was born in Waimanalo. He is survived by wife Violet F.; son Benjamin C.; daughters Geraldine F. Bequette, Gloria J. Vegas, Jacqueline L. Kahele and Gwendolyn D. Lum; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, makai chapel. Services: 10:30 a.m. Casual attire.
