She is survived by her husband, Toshiaki; sons, Dr. Eugene (Joyce) Tanabe and Dr. Jon (Dr. Marsha Iwahiro-Tanabe) Tanabe and granddaughters, Hilary and Hannah Tanabe. Private services held.
