Thomas Tomoitsu Abe, 98, of Kahului, a retired Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Co. payroll clerk and an Army veteran who served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, Company G, died in Hale Makua Kahului. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Alan, daughters Patricia Takatani and Sharon Uno, brother Shinsaku, sister Nora, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Tuesday at Nakamura Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Burial: 12:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Nisei Veteran Memorial Center.
