80William Robert Schmidt, 67, of Kailua, a director of operational systems-Hawaii at Matson Navigation Co., died in Kaneohe. He was born in Aurora, Ill. He is survived by wife Janice, sons Nathan and Daniel, daughters Lynne Nonaka and Leinani Cambra, brother Richard, sister MaryLou Richerson and Patricia Schmidt, and eight grandchildren.
