David Ding Yau Jeong
3-6 DAVID DING YAU JEONGDAVID DING YAU JEONG Of Kailua, Hawaii passed away Feb. 22, 2014 at his home. Born Jan. 15, 1935 in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a youngster he worked as a golf caddy at OCC. He was a proud graduate of Farrington High School where he was awarded a golf scholarship to attend and graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. David wore many hats in the business community and at 79 was still diligently servicing his clients at Am. Mutual Group. He was an active member in the community: President of Farrington Alumni Community Foundation, a Freemason, Rotarian, Director at Oahu One CU, Parliamentarian and member of Keolumana United Methodist Church. The recent passing of his "angelic" wife, Cherry Wicks Jeong was a great loss to all and David had always commented that, "I am successful because I married the perfect women, Cherry Wicks." He is survived by sister Wilma Ching, brothers Gregory and Jason Jeong, son Trenton Jeong/Wife Christal Jeong , granddaughters Riley and Haley. A Celebration of Life will be on Sat. March 29, 2014 at the Kailua United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00, Service at 10:30 with lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers and gifts, all donations should be made to the charity or organization that fills your heart!
