Dawson Terry Garvida, 66, of Kahana and Kailua-Kona, a Four Seasons Resort Hualalai landscaper and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Isaac Sylva Jr.; sisters Elaine L. Ah San, Joyce K. Garvida, Sheila L. Sherman and Sharon L. Keaweehu; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Additional visitation: 8 a.m. March 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kailua-Kona Stake Center. Services: 10:30 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire. No flowers for Oahu services.
