78Vivian R. Borero, 87, of Hilo, a homemaker, died in Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Olaa, Hawaii. She is survived by sons Allen and Byron Smith Sr. and Alexander Borero Jr.; daughters Diane and Lynn Smith, Maraiah Yamamoto, Linda Borero and Elizabeth Andrew; brothers Sarafin Carvalho, and Benjamin and Manuel Martinez; sisters Jackie McKenzie, Emily Pascual and Matilda Rivera; 34 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
