Toshiyuki "Fish" Yamaoka, 88, of Hilo, a retired heavy equipment diesel mechanic for M. Sonomura Contracting Co. and an Army veteran, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Eiko, brother Dr. Ronald and sisters Masako Ballesteros, Sumiko Kim, Kiyomi Okura and Fumie Kane-shiro. Visitation: 10 a.m. Monday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire.
