MARIAN H. MIM ARTZT. MIM 82, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 with family in Minneapolis, MN. She was a loving mother of her three sons: Joe and wife Allyn, Chris and wife Margo, Jonesy and wife Christina. She was a devoted grandmother to 7 grandchildren, caring sister to her brother Robert and wife Penny, and sincere friend to those she held close. Mim lived in Honolulu for almost 40 years before moving to Los Angeles, then Chappaqua, New York, before making her residence in North Port, FL. Born in Fort Worth, TX, Mim attended the University of Texas at Austin, after which she married and moved to Hawaii. She modeled both in Hawaii and nationally, worked at Joseph Magnin and managed Gucci in Hawaii, and volunteered at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. In Florida, she worked in interior design sales and was active in her garden club, specializing in orchids. She had a special place in her heart for animals, and her dogs in particular. Arrangements are pending for a small celebration in Honolulu, Hawaii just prior to honoring her request that her ashes be laid to rest in the Pacific Ocean.
