4-6 & 4-13 616314 Constance ChoyCONSTANCE CONNIE CHOY Constance Y.T. Choy passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved her; her children, relatives, and friends on March 17th, 2014 in Honolulu at the age of 81 after a 10 month battle with traumatic brain injury. She was born in Kaimuki, Hawaii on August 22, 1932, the 3nd youngest of three. By trade, Connie was a licensed Occupation Therapist and graduate of Milwaukee-Downer College in Wisconsin. She worked briefly at Palama Settlement, Queens, Leahi and the Hawaii State Hospital. Connie was most known for being the co-founder/owner of Kapalama Pet Hospital and later Waipio Pet Clinic. She managed the practice with her late husband Dr. Kwai Fong Choy until his retirement in 1994. Besides being the office manager of the clinic, Connie had many different enjoyments in her life. She spent a lot of time with her husband, kids, and later grandkids. Other interests included reading, investing in the stock market, buying/selling/managing real estate, cooking, sewing, embroidering, crocheting, gardening, and watching soap operas. She enjoyed traveling with the family on trips to the mainland, internationally, and later cruises to Alaska, Mexico, and the Hawaiian Islands. She loved the holidays and socializing with friends and relatives. She is survived by her sons: David (Jo-Ann) Choy, and Douglas (Beth) Choy; daughters: Shari (Guy) Okazaki, Tracy Tycer; grandchildren: Kara and Laura Okazaki, Sarah and Jonathan Tycer, sister: Bernice (Fred) Valenzona, many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Borthwick Mortuary-Makai Chapel on Friday, April 18, 2014. Visitation: 9am-10:30am, Services: 10:30am-11:30am. Burial: 1pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
