Walter Joseph Mensching, 85, of Haleiwa,a retired salesman in the insurance industry and a Navy veteran, died in Haleiwa. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He is survived by wife Kiyoko "Maki"; sons Jim, Walter and Robert; daughter Linda; and two grandchildren. Visitation: 2 p.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Kailua.
