Alfred K.Y. Char, 86, of Honolulu, a retired shop foreman at Schofield Barracks and Fort Shafter and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Jane M.; sons David K.L., Daniel K.H. and Ronald K.Y.; brother Arthur T.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
