DR. EDWARD JOSEPH QUINLAN Dr. Edward Joseph Quinlan, age 83, passed away peacefully in Honolulu at Kuakini’s Hale Pulama Mau on Saturday, May 17, 2014 after a 12 year long battle against a non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Dr. Quinlan was a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Vermont Medical School. He was Chief of Radiotherapy at Kuakini Hospital from 1969 until his retirement in 1996. He is survived by his sisters Nancy McCarthy of Bristol Connecticut, Florence Cuenin of Safford Arizona, his brother John Quinlan of Hartford Connecticut, 11 nieces and nephews. A remembrance of his life will take place from Noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 1 at 1001 Wilder Avenue in the Penthouse. There will be a private service and scattering of his ashes in Bristol Connecticut by his family at a later date.
