Akira "Sonny" Omonaka, 86, of Pepeekeo, Hawaii, a retired business agent with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and an Army veteran who served during World War II, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Yuriko; son Guy; daughter Eadie; brothers Thomas, Rupert and Stanley; sister Kikuyo "Kay" Sueyoshi; and two grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 4 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers or monetary donations.
