76Thalia Bata Word, 93, of Kailua, a Kailua High School secretary, died in Kaneohe. She was born in Rochester, N.Y. She is survived by sons Kenneth and Ross, daughters Leslie Bateman and Sydney Beckett, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation: noon July 17 at Windward United Church of Christ.
