FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Alvin Ralph Patterson
ALVIN RALPH PATTERSON Known to his family and friends as Pat, grew up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. During World War II he joined the Coast Guard and trained at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. He was assigned to a Naval station on the island of Oahu where he served until the end of the war. He returned to Oshkosh, attended college and taught nat Webster Stanley Jr. High School in the early 1950"s. Pat made a number of friends while in Hawaii and he eventually moved to the Big Island of Hawaii and taught school there for several years before transferring to Campbell High School in Ewa Beach on the island of Oahu. He continued at Campbell teaching science then ended his career as the school registrar in the 70"s. He continued to live in Ewa Beach until the early 80's when he moved back to Oshkosh. After several years there, he finally moved to Bradenton, Florida. Here he found a home for the rest of his days. He was an altar server, at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Parrish, Fl. Pat loved his garden and all his birds. He had so many friends with whom he socialized that there just wasn't enough hours in the day. A Memorial Mass celebrating Pat's life will be said on Thursday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m.
