George Gomes, 78, of Honaunau, Hawaii, a retired coffee farmer, a tractor driver and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died at home. He was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Isabel; son Michael, daughters Laurie Valenzuela and Cynthia Deniz; brothers Thomas, Harry and Roy; sisters Eleanor Bodine and Beatrice Neves; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Friday at Kona Memorial Park, Holualoa. Services: 10 a.m. Casual attire.
