Tadao "Tad" Murata, 92, of Wailuku, an Army veteran who served in World War II with the Office of Strategic Services and a retired Mid Pac Sales president and general manager, died at home. He was born in Kahului. He is survived by wife Misayo; sons Donald, Brian, Alan and Craig; sister Hisako Tatsumoto; and three grandchildren. Private services. No monetary offerings. Donations suggested to Wailuku Hongwanji Mission or Hospice Maui.
