77Masato "Masa" Tamura, 88, of Hilo, a retired construction laborer for S.K. Oda Construction, died at home. He was born in Kapoho, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Tsuruyo; sons Bob, Thomas and Gerry; sisters Hatsue Carvalho, Carol Okiuye and Shizue Sanekane; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Saturday at Hilo Hongwanji. Services: 4 p.m.
