Herbert Tomiyoshi Kaneshiro, 85, of Honolulu, a retired U.S. government mechanical engineer at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and and Army veteran, died in Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Aren; daughter-in-law and caregiver Sandra; brothers John, Tsuneo, Eric and Bert; and a grandchild. Private services.
