FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

CLAUDE ISAMU MATSUI
CLAUDE ISAMU MATSUI Claude Isamu Matsui 61, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed July 30th 2014. His passing from this life was a testament to how he lived it, striving vehemently to stay by the side of those he loved so much. Born to Herbert and Doris Matsui, the older brother of Jane would go on to marry his McKinley High School sweetheart, Sharon. Their profound love for one another was expressed in the moments they shared, the heartfelt words they spoke, even the challenges they endured but mostly in the way they danced. In their 45 years together they would raise three boys, Michael, Cory and Dean, to become fine young men. Claude Matsui was preceded by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon, his sister Jane & her husband Rainer Domingo (Honolulu, Hawaii), his sons Michael & Yasmin Matsui (Woodbridge, Virginia), Cory & Amy Matsui (Rockville, Maryland), Dean Matsui (Kapolei, Hawaii), and his hanai son Bobby Brimmer (Burbank, California). He is also survived by nephew Nicholas Domingo and grand- children Colin, Cole, Mikey, Lily and Logan. Claude diligently served his country as an Army field artillerymen and later with his service in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The latter of which he worked tirelessly to safeguard the lives of soldiers who served our country. He lived fierce in character, stubborn in his convictions, and passionate about those he loved. His life cannot entirely be conveyed, for it has yet to end. The aloha spirit that he shared is carried on by those he loved and, with it, so is he. Services to be held Saturday August 9th at 11am at Kaumakapili Church, 766 N King St.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
