1STSGT ELLSWORTH CHOW YEE LIU (U.S. Army Retired) died at the age of 87 years. 1stSgt Liu was born to Liu Lai and Annie Ho on April 18, 1927 in Hanalei, HI. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Melanie Suzanne; He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Willean Liu; 6 children, Cathy Liu Scott and husband Lamar; David Liu; Steve Liu and his wife Maria; Darryl Liu and his wife Liz; John Liu and his wife Diana and Darlene Liu; 12 Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home on Monday, August 04, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 05, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors. The family request in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in 1stSgt Liu's honor to the charity of your choice.
