VIOLET H. TAKUSHI Violet H. Takushi (Uehara), age 81, a retiree of Kaiser Hospital, died peacefully on Friday, August 8, at Kuakini Geriatric Care. She is survived by her husband Jimmy Takushi; children Stanette Kitamura, Tammy Kimura, Starr Quon, Jon Takushi and Jan Bachman; sisters Bessie Teruya, Alice Eto, and Myrtle Yoshioka; grandchildren Jayson Quon, Karli Quon, Candice Sakamoto, Paula Asao, Stanton Asao, Christian Kitamura, Connor Kimura, Jeffrey Takushi, Jennifer Takushi, Jamie Takushi and Maya Bachman. A faithful servant of the Lord, she was a member of Honolulu and Mililani Christian Church. The funeral will be held at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary, 2233 Nuuanu Avenue, on Saturday, August 23, visitation at 3:00 pm, service at 4:00 pm, aloha attire, no flowers.
