GEORGE T. ITO George T. Ito, 89, passed away on 6/14/14. George was born in Honolulu and was one of the original MIS paratroopers during WWII. He completed his college education at University of Washington, earning his BA and MBA; moved to Chicago, IL in 1953 where he resided until his death. His wife of 57 years, Dorothy Sachiko (Ikeda) and his infant son Robert Norio, preceded him in death. He is survived by daughters Donna Ito (Jozef Ruck) of Menlo Park, CA, Barbara Ito, of Teaneck, NJ, Valerie Ito (Robert Schubert) of Naperville, IL; grandchildren Erin, Alex and Marlies Ruck, Aaron and Michelle Schubert; and sisters Mrs. Gladys Goka, Mrs. Ruth Sato (John Sato), Mrs. Violet Kagawa, and companion Mrs. Martha Miyake all residing in Honolulu. Visitation 9:30 AM and Service 10:00 AM on Sat. 9/6 at Kalihi Union Church 2214 N. King St. Honolulu, HI. Aloha attire. In lieu of flowers, remembrance to your favorite charity.
