Takeo Uyehara, 85, of Hilo, a retired meat department manager at the former Food Fair Supermarket and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died in a care home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by daughter Lorna Kuwahara; brothers Yasunobu and Yukio; sisters Jean and Shizue Yafuso, Akiko Higa and Sadako Kaneshiro; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services held. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
