Darrell Mitchell, 53, of Pearl City, an Army veteran, died in Aiea. He was born in Wailuku. He is survived by wife Mena H.; sons Courtney Schirmer and Darrell K. and Colaka Mitchell; daughter Lana A.M. Uminga; father Barry K. Kawaa; mother Barbara K. Kawaa; brothers Llewellyn and Renee K. Kawaa, and Shane Kahalehau; sisters Helene Pali and Toni, Tammie and Teri N. Mitchell; and five grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Sunday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 10:30 a.m. Committal services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Casual attire. Flowers welcome. Incorrect information in an obituary published Wednesday.
