09-21 Rey QuebralREY FERDINAND QUEBRAL March 1966 - September 2014 Rey Ferdinand Quebral, 48, of Kailua, retired DOE teacher and archaeologist, passed peacefully on September 10th. He was born in Caoayan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on March 14, 1966 and immigrated to Hawai'i in 1969. He graduated from Nanakuli High and UH-Manoa, where he majored in archaeology and secondary social studies education. His passions were his sons, teaching, sports, and raising animals. He taught history at Wai'anae High and Waimanalo Intermediate and worked for IARII. He enjoyed mentoring Upward Bound Program students and coaching basketball. He and Rona celebrated 21 years of marriage. Rey is survived by wife Rona Ikehara-Quebral; sons Ripley & Ricky; brothers Ernie (Dolly) Jr., Max (Nila), Mario (Zenisa); sisters Rosy (Vic Sr.) Gaoiran, Isabel (Gordon) Kang, Maria (Daniel) Ornellas, Gin (Morty) Howard; countless nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grand- nieces; pre-deceased by parents Ernesto P. and Alberta N. Quebral. Visitation will be held at 5:30p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, memorial services at 6:15p.m., dinner to follow. Casual attire. "Forever in our hearts."
