YOSHIKO NEWTON Age 78, passed away Sept 17, 2014. An independent woman, born 1936 in Japan, Yoshiko moved to Honolulu over forty years ago to embark on a new life. She worked at Duty Free Shoppers for twenty years, retiring in 1992. Not one to sit still, Yoshiko returned back to work at Matzki Inc. coordinating weddings for another ten years. Retiring a second time, Yoshiko enjoyed the company of friends and family. She kept busy by making a point to go out on daily outings, her favorite being The Bus' Circle Island route where she and friends would lunch at Turtle Bay on the North Shore. Yoshiko is survived by her sister Masako, niece Catherina, grandniece Vesper in Hawaii; niece Victoria, grandniece Ava in California; sister Yasuko, brothers Hiroshi and Kamichi and four nieces and three nephews in Japan.
