75Dionicio V. "Doning" Pira, 89, of Honokaa, Hawaii, a Hamakua Sugar Plantation Co. cultivation department retiree, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Pidigan, Abra, Philippines. He is survived by wife Lucia A.; sons Eduardo, Liberato, Rene and Roland Sr.; daughters Elizabeth Paz, Yolanda Quisguy, Evelyn Cano, Marlyn Tashiro and Jenyn Noble; sisters Magdalena Quezada, Juanita Pira, Lucia Baldos and Paula Carsola; 37 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Honokaa. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Honokaa Catholic Cemetery. Casual attire.
