GENEVIEVE MARIE MARQUES BERTELMANN Our beloved family matriarch, Genevieve Marie Marques Bertelmann, passed away at home on September 18, 2014, at the age of 94. Born on August 02, 1920 in Kaimuki , she was the daughter of Frederick Stephen Marques and Marie Silva, the fourth of five children. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1939. In 1940 she married the love of her life, Stanley C. Bertelmann. She and her husband started Bertelmann Electric in 1945. Gen loved sports. She was a softball player and well as a fisherwoman. She land casted as well as deep sea fishing. She and her husband enjoyed cruising all over the world. We will all surely miss her. She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Paul and Elmer Marques and her sister Sylvia Marques Kennedy. She also lost her husband Stanley C. Bertelmann and her son Carl Leslie Bertelmann. She is survived by her sons Frederick Sterling Bertelmann (Marie Olsen Bertelmann), Clyde Ashley Bertelmann and hanai son Charles Bob. She has 11 grandchildren, 23 grand- children and 1 great grand child. She is also survived by her sister, Ethel Marques Spinola. Visitation from 10:00-11:00pm Friday October 17, 2014 at Oahu Cemetery Chapel. Services from 11:00-12:00pm followed by burial.
