Richard "Dick" Hirao, 93, of Honolulu, owner of Nisshodo Mochiya, shihan of Koboji Dojo and an Army veteran, died in Care Center of Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Bessie M.; son Michael T.; daughters Elaine H. Koanui, Dianne K. Brooks and Doreen A. Hirao-Doo; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Nov. 4 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. (Original Oct. 19 services rescheduled.) Casual attire. No flowers.
