72Helen Vayda, 94, of Las Vegas, formerly of Waipahu, a Sheraton Hotels Hawaii retiree, died. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son Jim E. Merrill, stepson William and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. No services.
