74Faamele Maafala Akiona "Mele" Haley, 83, of Kapolei died in Kapolei. She was born in Aua, American Samoa. She is survived by sons William, Brian and Frank Akiona; daughters Moana Pacheco, Kuu-ipo Kumukahi, Jennie Jones, and Patricia and Melinda Akiona; brother Esau Maafala; sister Laloata Maafala; 29 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Monday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 10:15 a.m. Burial: 11 a.m. at Mililani Memorial Park.
