Surrounded by family and friends. Born in Guam. He is survived by his wife Armie Demegillo Burkhard, his children Myrna Lee Burkhard, Andrea B. Vandertuin, Robert Burkhard Jr (Rosey) and Troy Palani Burkhard, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter numerous relatives and friends. Services will be on November 21, 2014 at Borthwick Mortuary (downtown) beginning 8:30 a.m. Burial to follow 1:00 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
