Walter William Konys, 71, of Wahiawa, a retired Army staff sergeant and a civil services director of public works, died in Wahiawa General Hospital. He was born in Missouri. He is survived by wife Deborah Ann; son Sean; daughters Paula Muhlenbruch, Kelly Isaacs, Terry Ann Joseph and Francesca Tanaka; sister Geraldine Ley; and eight grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Tuesday at Moanalua Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Cremation to follow. Celebration of life at noon Nov. 30 at Maili Beach Park, Waianae. Scattering of ashes: 2 p.m.
