ANTHONY JOSEPH AKONI SORGENT 54, of Waimanalo passed away at Straub Hospital on October 17, 2014 after a long illness. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 23, 1960. He served his country in the Navy from 1979-1982. He was a self-employed painter, mechanic, and maintenance man. Survived by wife, Rozlyn; sons, Shane Akoni (Amber) Lono and Kilauea (Heather) Sorgent; daughter, Tiana (Antonio) Wong; grandchildren, Kainoa, Chasen, Blazen, Kaizen, Masen, Makeila, Mariah; mother, Wendy "Malu" Sorgent; brothers, Sid and Ronald Sorgent; sister, Sui Lan "Lei" (Wes) Lee of Maui; grandmother, Sui Lan Wilson; uncle, Lymey (Charlene) Wilson. Celebration of Life will be on November 29, 2014 at Baby Makapuu (Kaupo Beach Park) at 10:00 a.m. with refreshments and lunch to follow. Scattering of ashes at a later date. Beach wear. No flowers.
