Anthony Joseph "Akoni" Sorgent, 54, of Waimanalo, a self-employed painter, mechanic and maintenance man and a Navy veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Milwaukee, Wis. He is survived by wife Rozlyn, sons Shane "Akoni" Lono and Kilauea Sorgent, daughter Tiana Piimauna Wong, mother Wendy "Malu," brothers Sidney and Ronald, sister Sui Lan "Lei" Lee, grandmother Sui Lan Wilson and seven grandchildren. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Saturday at Baby Makapuu (Kaupo Beach Park). Refreshments and lunch to follow. Scattering of ashes at a later date. Beach attire. No flowers.
