79Emily Tandal Lapa, 89, of Waialua, a retiree from civil service at Schofield Barracks, died in Waialua. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by daughters Barbara Penington, Pauline Lime, Angela L. Bugarin, Lucille Tashiro and May Lapa; brothers Andrew and Stanley Tandal; sister Flora Kelsey; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Private services.
