BETTY TOYOKO KOSEKI
BETTY TOYOKO KOSEKI Affectionately known as "Toy" Born in Waimea, Kauai on July 19, 1925, Betty was the youngest of six children born to the late Rev. Honi and Kotoki Ohye who served as ministers on Kauai for many years. Betty worked for the State of Hawaii, Personnel Services Office as a private secretary for 43 years and served under six deputy directors and five governors until her retirement in 1986. She was very active in community service with the Moiliili Hongwanji Mission and served as President of the Lotus Fujinkai for six years, as well as the Hongwanji Buddhist Women's Association for three years. She also served in many of the church's charity and community organizations. Betty died peacefully at her home on December 11, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Kenneth and her son, Clayton. Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; visitation from 12:00 noon. Casual attire.
