Teofilo was retired from Nordic Construction and also a retired farmer. He was a member of the Carpenters Union. He is survived by wife, Consolacion Valdez; sons, Joseph Valdez, Teofilo (Anita) Valdez III, James Valdez; daughter, Alysha Valdez; mother, Rosina Valdez; brothers, Rodrigo (Myrna) Valdez, Gregorio (Lucila) Valdez, Pedrolando (Clarissa) Valdez, Feliciano Valdez, Reynaldo (Yolanda) Valdez; sisters, Christina (Rene) Lopez, Evelyn (Edgar) Nagtalon; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grand- child.
