Thomas died on January 20, 2014 in Wahiawa, HI and Loretta died on October 19, 2014 in Aldie, VA. “Peep” & Tom are survived by their 4 children; Jann, Debbie, Lesly & Tommy Jr., 6 grand- children & 3 great-grand- children.

image001COLONEL PATRICK J. SAXTON USMC (RET.) AGE 83 b. April 18, 1930 – d. October 13, 2013 Patrick James Saxton passed away at the age of 83, on October 13, 2013, with his family by his side in Jacksonville, FL. He is returning to Hawaii, his home of 35 years and his final resting place with his beloved wife Barbara. A celebration of the life of Patrick James Saxton, known by all as “PJ”, will be held at 2PM at the Kaneohe Yacht Club on February 3, 2015. This will be followed by interment at the National Cemetery of the Pacific at 11:30 AM on February 4, 2015. PJ Saxton enlisted in the Marine Corps at the age of 15 and began a military career that took him from Private to Colonel during his 35 years of service. With combat service during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, his decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal w/Combat V, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and the RVN Cross of Gallantry Medal. After retiring from the Marine Corps, PJ joined the Honolulu law firm of Roeca, Louie & Hiraoka in 1982, where he was a key fixture working as an Investigator and Paralegal. As long-time residents of Kailua and avid sailors, PJ and Barbara were active members of the Kane`ohe Yacht Club for over 30 years involved in many events to include Pacific Cup Races. PJ also held various positions at the Windward Shore port, including Port Captain, Treasurer, Rear Commodore, Vice Commodore and Commodore. His sailing experience included many trips in their 30 foot sloop to the various Hawaiian Islands, a few long distance trips to Tahiti, and one six month sail voyage from San Diego to Miami. PJ Saxton was married three times and is survived by his first wife Bette of Woodbridge, VA and their four children: Patrick J. Saxton II of Manassas, VA, Brenda K. Lum of Jacksonville, FL, Craig J. Saxton of Danville, CA, and Bryan D. Saxton of Dubai, UAE; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Brothers David T. Saxton of Canyon City OR, Charles B. Saxton of Scappoose OR, and sister Mary Gordon of Salem OR. His second wife Barbara, preceded him in death in Hawaii in 2005 and his marriage to his third wife, Sally, ended in divorce.
