VIOLET FELIX VEGAS Violet Felix Vegas, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 at the age of 87. She is survived by her five remaining children; Geraldine Bequette, Gloria Vegas, Jacqueline Kahele, Gwendolyn Lum and Benjamin Vegas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; Zachary Petersen, Sydney Sanchez, Brian Sanchez, Alex Kahele, Trinity Vegas, Tyron Vegas, Tazra Vegas, Gima Cabral, Alexander Feliciano, Brandon Vegas and Marcelina Feliciano- Mann as well as 12 great- grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild; a brother, Fred Belen and a sister, Helen Mendez. Before retiring from Kaiser Hospital, she worked at Dole Pineapple Cannery for many years. She also earned her GED after all of her children graduated from high school. She will be remembered by all as a grand lady who was talented, creative, organized and artistic, who raised six children with a "can do" attitude. She will be missed, but remembered well.
