71William Pali "Pete" Peterson, 86, of Hilo, a retired accountant for the Hawaii County Department of Water Supply and an Army veteran who served in World War II and the Korean War, died in Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Brian and Brent, brother Peter, a grandchild and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 6 p.m. Friday at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo. Services: 7 p.m. Graveside committal services:9 a.m. Saturday at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
