ELLEN SHIZUKO GOTO Age 85, of Kaneohe, died on December 24, 2014 at Castle Hospital. She was born on March 7, 1929 on the Island of Kauai. She worked for the Hawaii State Senate, retiring as the Journal Clerk in 1993. She was respected and beloved. Ellen married Renji Goto on August 23, 1952. They were inseparable and lived together happily for 62 years, traveling near and far together. They raised two children, Jennifer (John) and John (Jana). She and Papa played a very special role in the raising of their three grandsons, Ioane Ren, Naki Satoru, and Kauanui Kichizo. Ellen is also survived by sisters, Elnora Wakatake, Takeko Yamane, and Jean Morioka, and a large extended Yoshida and Goto ohana. We celebrate Ellen's life - her steadfast commitment to family and friends, her thoughtful gestures that let you know she was thinking fondly about you, and her passion for living life fully, joyfully and lovingly.
