Edwin Mamoru Tani, 90, of Waipahu, a state government retiree, former contractor and an Army veteran who served in World War II with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Tomoe A.; sons Milton S. and Jason M. Tani, and William S. and Glenn S. Arakawa; daughters Beverly K. Vierra, Eloise M. Abinante and Doris M. Kiyuna; sister Sister Mary Ann; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Private services.
