William "Bill" Spencer Rushing Sr., 79, of Honolulu, a submariner and a Navy veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He is survived by wife Patricia; sons William Jr., Raymond, Brandon, Michael and David; daughter Linda; brothers Lawrence and Byron; and seven grandchildren. Inurnment: 1 p.m. Friday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Services: 2 p.m. at Cathedral at Saint Andrew, 229 Queen Emma Square. Aloha attire. Flowers welcome.
