Robert Shinichi Shintani, 89, of Honolulu, a retired management assistant for Schofield Barracks and an Army veteran, died in St. Francis Hospice. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Alan and Stephen; daughters Celia Burke, Roberta Shintani and Karen Kam; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Private services.
